Count and uncount nouns

A. It is important to understand the difference between count and uncount nouns.
Examples of Count nouns
A cup
A girl
An apple
An egg
A pound

Examples of Uncount nouns
Water
Sugar
Milk
Music
Money

B. Count nouns can be singular or plural

This cup is full
These cups are empty

Uncount nouns can be only singular
The water is cold
The weather was terrible[/ALIGN]

A. Some is used in positive sentences .

C. We use some in questions that are requests or offers .
can I have some cake ?
would you like some tea ?

D. The rules are the same of the compound someone . anything . anybody . somewhere >>> etc.
